POS Add-on (Stripe)

Stripe POS Integration:

To get and Activate Stripe POS Payment Gateway, please follow the below steps.

• First, log in to the BookingPress Website, and you will be redirected to the My Account page.
• Now, click on the “Access Passes” link from the left menu panel.
• After going to the Access Passes, click on the “View your downloads” button.
• From the list, please look for the “Stripe POS” add-on, click on the download button, and it will automatically start downloading the addon. After the download is finished, upload the downloaded zip file to WordPress just link any other WordPress Plugin, then install and activate the addon to use it.

Set Up Stripe POS

To begin using Stripe POS, you will need to obtain API Keys from Stripe and set up the BBPOS WisePOS E device. You can follow the steps below :

1. Log in to your Stripe Account.
2. Go to Your Account -> Developers -> API Keys.
3. Copy the Secret Key (this key will be used in your BookingPress settings).

Configure Stripe in BookingPress

1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to BookingPress -> Settings -> Payments.
2. Scroll down to Stripe POS Payment gateway.
3. Select your desired payment mode: Live or Sandbox.
4. Paste the Secret Key you copied from Stripe into the field provided.
5. Save changes.

Connect the BBPOS WisePOS E Device

To accept in-person payments, you’ll need the BBPOS WisePOS E device. Follow these steps to set it up:

1. Purchase the BBPOS WisePOS E device through your Stripe account.
2. Follow the official Stripe setup instructions to configure the device.
3. Once the device is configured, it will automatically connect with the Stripe POS Integration in BookingPress.

How to Use Stripe POS for Payments

After a customer books an appointment, if the Payment status is in a pending state, you can use the Stripe POS to accept payment. You can follow the steps below :

1. Go to BookingPress -> Payments.
2. Find the Payment that is in a Pending state.
3. Hover over the payment entry, and you will see a Wallet Icon appear on the far right. You can also click on the Payment and you will find the Stripe POS Button which can be used as well.
4. Click on the wallet icon or the POS Payment button.

Choose Your POS Device:

• A prompt will appear asking you to select a POS reader from the list of available devices.
• If you have multiple devices, then you will have the option to select the one you’d like to use and click on Connect.
• If you only have one device connected, it will automatically proceed to the next step and you won’t see the Select POS Reader section.

After that, the transaction will be carried onto the POS machine. The activity will be updated in the BookingPress system as well. 

Once the process is completed the payment status will be updated as Paid and the method will be denoted as paid by Stripe POS.
